Throughout their history, Jews have endured persecution. In 586 B.C., the Jewish temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Babylonians, and many Jews were exiled from their homeland. During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, European Jews face anti-Semitism – prejudice against people of the Jewish faith – from the predominantly Christian European population.
And during World War II, more than six million Jews were murdered by
