Wende’s work encompasses both Oil and Pastel. She is a Master Pastelist with the Pastel Society of America where she has won numerous awards including the Gold Medal - Art Spirit Foundation in 2018 and 2019.

In November, 2019, Wende was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award along with her husband, Daniel E. Greene N.A., from the Figurative Art Convention (FACE) hosted by Eric Rhoads and Peter Trippi.

She has been included in exhibitions at the Butler Institute of American Art through the Portrait Society of America’s Inspiring Figures exhibition, the Pastel Society of America, and the Butler National Mid-Year Show.  Her work has been shown in group exhibitions nationwide.

Wende is an exhibiting member of Allied Artists, Audubon Artists, Hudson Valley Art Association, Pastel Society of America and the Salmagundi Club where she has garnered additional awards for her work in oil and pastel. Wende is a board member for the Portrait Society of America, the Artists
